Training

Training is vital to becoming a CASA Volunteer.  CASA Volunteer candidates must complete 30 hours of Core Training, a series of topical classes that address the issues they will encounter as a CASA Volunteer.

During Core Training, volunteers will learn about courtroom procedure, social services and the juvenile court system.

Also, trainees will learn about child development, special needs children, cultural issues, advocacy, inteviewing techniques, and court report writing.
