CASA Volunteer Core Training
How do I apply for training?

1. Pick up an application at CASA's office, located within Northern Oklahoma Youth Services at 2203 N. Ash in Ponca City, phone us at 762-8341 to request one in the mail, or download the application here.

2.  Return the application on or before the first day of training.

3. Check the your calendar for any scheduling conflicts. A coy of the training schedule is available here. Remember, life happens! Don't panic if you can't attend all the training sessions...we will make every effort to accomodate your schedule that we can.  If you cannot attend this training, we will gladly put you on our newsletter mailing list and notify you of the next training opportunity.

4.  Bring yourself to training!  We will provide your training materials, snacks, and beverages during training.  Our Spring 2010 Core Training will take place in 7 class sessions, each Thursday evening, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm from April 8th, 2010 to May 20th, 2010 in our offices in Northern Ok. Youth Services at 2203 N. Ash in Ponca City.

5.  Would you like some company during training?  Our training is very informational for anyone who cares about children, and in attending our training, you have no obligation to become a volunteer with us.  If you have a friend who is interested, bring them along...no strings attached.  Also, we have husband and wife teams that volunteer jointly on our cases, so remember that this option is available also!
